This flap was probably introduced in 1962 (see comment on S1a).  The Lodge decided to sell the remaining stock at the August 1963 summer Ordeal, without limiting the number an Arrowman could purchase.  See, S2a, below.

This flap received by youth in Ordeal in 1961 probably post dates S1b
Thanks expressed  to W.A. (Bill) Armistead, Scoutmaster of Troop 4, for designing this flap suggests that the supposed "Kiandosha flap" with essentially identical design never existed.
This flap was introduced at the July 1957 Summer Ordeal.  Immediately prior to the introduction, the Lodge approved the "great white heron" as the lodge totem.  Why the white ibis was used on this flap and became the defacto lodge totem is a mystery.  The flap was manufactured locally in Tampa.  One was presented in the Ordeal and one more could be purchased each year - price 75¢.

v 1 is 123 mm, GLD in sky with yellow center, 2 separate MORG cloud specs
v2 DORG cloud specks joined and overall flap loosely stitched.  On reverse, cloud specs appear as large, single speck.  Ibis has "skinny" head.
v3 MORG cloud specks separate and tighter overall stitching.  Head of ibis is "fatter" than on v2
This flap introduced at the December 1963 Winter Ordeal, based on a neckerchief design by Jack Mickelson.  Existing Arrowmen were permitted to buy 2 flaps at this event and 1 flap each subsequent year.  Two  flaps were presented to new Ordeal members with an annual limit of 1 each subsequent year..

S5 for Vigil Honor and S6 for Brotherhood Honor produced in a single loom of 100 each in 1974 but were held until general release in 1976 without purchase restrictions, because the Lodge approved between placement of order and receipt of flaps a bylaw amendment  which required all lodge flaps to have black borders.
